Bayard Peters 

Chairman

​

Bayard Peters is the Chairman of Blackpool Sports Club N.A. In this role, he will be the head of the Club and when present shall preside at all meeting of the Members of the Club of the Board of Directors, and of the Executive Committee.  He shall be ex-officio a member of all, committees.  He shall exercise a general supervision of the affairs of the Club and shall see to the enforcement of the Constitution and By-Laws and to carrying out of all orders and resolutions of the “Board of Directors” and of the Executive Committee.  He shall keep; the Board of Directors fully informed and shall frequently consult it concerning the business and activities of the Club and shall make on behalf of the Board an annual report to the Members of the Club.

Bayard graduated from Tutorial High School in the early 1960s.  He captained Tutorial High School soccer team in the early 1960s and also played for St. Sidwells Rovers football club during the same period.   At the senior level football, he represented Victoria SC while still being in high school and was called to represent Guyana in 1963. 

 

Bayard suffered a serious motor cycle accident which shattered his right knee in 1965. Upon his recovery from the accident he returned to football and played for St. Barnabas FC prior to migrating to the United States in 1970. Bayard was Football captain for United Nation Football team and Blackpool Football Club team during the period of 1970 thru 1978.  He was also one of the founding members of Blackpool Football Club.

 

Bayard is an avid Chess player and had the privilege of playing two former Chess world champions Anatoly Karpov, and Tigran Petrosian with whom he drew with.

Lindon Carter 

Vice Chairman

Lindon Carter is the Vice Chairman of Blackpool Sports Club N.A. In this role, he is responsible for contacts with Members at conferences and at meeting of the chapters and other operating units and at such other occasions as the Board of Directors may designate.  They may also be designated to serve as official representatives of the Club at meeting of other groups.  In case of the absence or disability of the President, the Executive Committee shall designate one of the Vice Presidents to perform his duties.  Each Vice President shall have such other powers and duties as may be described the Board of Directors.

Lindon was a team member and Vice President of the Guyana National Football under 17 team in 1971, and 1972.  He is one of the founding members of the popular and talented Pele Football Club that was formed in 1971.

 

Lindon migrated to Brooklyn New York where he attended high school and was selected a member of the All New York High Schools All Star team in 1975. During his college years, he played for York College and was also selected a member of the All New York Colleges All Star team in 1976

 

Lindon served as an Executive Member of Blackpool Football Club, and Guyana New York Veterans Soccer Club. He also was a member of  Blackpool Football Club’s “A”  team from 1975 – 1977,   During his tenure as a player Blackpool Football Club rose from 3rd division to 1St division of the Cosmopolitan Soccer League.

 

Lindon has a C License Coach Certificate.  He coached Team Guyana in the Caribbean Cup Competition where he guided the team to  3rd place 2001.

 

Lindon served as the President of Georgia International Culture & sports Assn from 2007 - to 2009. He also is a member of the following organization:

Treasurer

Stanley Harmon is the Treasurer of Blackpool Sports Club N.A. In this role, he is responsible for the general supervision of the financial affairs of the Club.  He shall have the power to disburse such funds of the Club as shall be required in the conduct of its affairs and the carrying on of its activities.  He shall, in general, perform all the duties incidental to the office of Treasurer and such other duties as may from time to time be assigned to him by the Board of Directors or by the Executive Committee.  Unless otherwise ordered by resolution adopted by the Board of Directors, he may sign any check, draft, or other order of the Club for the payment of money.  

The Treasurer shall make statements to the Board of Directors and to the Executive Committee in such form and frequency as they may direct.  Subject to such custody arrangements as the Board of Directors may approve, the Treasurer shall provide for custody and safe keeping of all securities of the Club.  The Treasurer and any member of the Committee of Finance designated by the Board of Directors, acting jointly, shall have the right of access to such securities.

Stanley Harmon is a longtime member of United Soccer Coaches living in New York City. He has served on the leadership committee of the Black Soccer Coaches Advocacy Group since its inception. The former Head Soccer Coach at CUNY Medgar Evers College, Harmon has dedicated himself to working with young people in the city and educating coaches to use the game as a positive voice in the community and a tool to teach important life skills for success on and off the soccer pitch. He is a Guyanese-American and one of three directors of the Central Brooklyn Soccer Club.

Lennox Harmon

General Secretary

Lennox Harmon is the General Secretary of Blackpool Sports Club N.A. In this role, he is responsible for the supervision of the financial records of the Club. All monies due and payable to the Club from any source whatsoever shall be received by him and deposited by him to credit of the Club in such bank, trust companies or other depositories as the Board of Directors may designate. Be responsible for keeping proper account of all such monies received and all monies disbursed on behalf of the Club and of all records in connection therewith. Keep the roll of the membership of the Club give notice of meeting of the Club, of the Board of Directors, and of the Executive Committee, keep the minutes of the proceeding at such meeting, preserve communications pertaining to the affairs of the club.

While living in Guyana, he attended St. Stephens and Charlestown Government Secondary schools and worked for a short time with Guyana Postal Services Uniform division. Lennox migrated to the United States (New York) in September, 1972​

Living in New York, he was very much involved in soccer as a player and was the President of New York Guyana Veterans Soccer Club from 1985 thru July 1995. He was also involved in the annual Guyana team selection for the Caribbean Cup Summer tournament in Brooklyn. Lennox represented his employer in the European Soccer Tournament in Amsterdam. 

​

​Lennox travelled extensively for work and had the opportunity to visit countries such as Ireland, Japan, South Korea, and the Netherlands. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of North Texas and is currently a Senior Business Analyst in Dallas.

Dexter Emerson Hazlewood, is an American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certified Medical specialist for over 30 years.  

 

Born in Georgetown Guyana he migrated to the United States with his parents in 1975. Living in Brooklyn he spent his adolescent and earlier adult years there, where he received his formal education. Following his graduation from Columbia University In the city of New York, he received his Medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He went on to found and maintain a successful Private Medical Practice that significantly contributed to serving the health and medical needs of his community in Brooklyn, NY. As an Associate Attending physician, he served as a preceptor for Medical Students and mentored Medical Residents at the Long Island College Hospital. 

 

His marriage to, herself an accomplished and preeminent physician in the Midwest community in which they reside, has produced two talented children each accomplished in their own right.. 

 

After relocating to Peoria, Dexter served as the Chief Medical Officer of the 5 Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) that comprise the VA's medical system of Central Illinois. He has served in this capacity for almost a decade. During this period he has been responsible for overseeing the implementation of numerous changes that include innovative uses of groundbreaking technologies that have enhanced the quality of medical care and improved the access to care, of our nation’s heroes who reside in the Central Illinois region. 

 

Dexter is an avid connoisseur of soccer, with which he has spent more than four decades as a player. He holds advanced United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National licensure for more than 20 years, adding to his knowledge base in the sport, recognized by the acquisition of International Certificates. 

In his spare time he enjoys spending quality time with his family and also loves to travel.

Cosmo attended New Amsterdam Congregational school in New Amsterdam, Berbice; He captained the school’s cricket team that won the Inter School Cricket Championship in 1954.

​

In 1955 he was the founder of Carib Sports Club (Berbice Football Association Champions for many years). In his first international football match in 1956, Berbice’s County team defeated Suriname’s Robin Hood Football Club 1 to 0 with Cosmo being the lone goal scorer in the game.

​

Cosmo later moved to Georgetown and joined the British Guiana Police Force in February of 1962.  He was elected captain of the Police Force Football team while attending Police Training School. Under his captaincy, Police Soccer Team won several major trophies between the years 1962 thru 1967.

​

Cosmo was a member of the British Guiana, and Guyana National Football team between the periods of 1962 thru 1967. As a member of the team, he had 21 caps, scored 2 Goals, and represented the country twice internationally with tours to Trinidad and Barbados.

In 1967, Cosmo migrated to the United States; became a member of Brooklyn Juniors Football team in Brooklyn New York.  In his first encounter against Blackpool Football Soccer Club in 1970 at Wingate Soccer Field in Brooklyn NY, his team defeated Blackpool Football Club one goal to nil with Cosmo scoring the winning goal. He was later recruited by some of Blackpool Football players to join the club which he did in 1971.

​

Cosmo held various Executive positions for Blackpool Football club, some which includes:  Secretary, President, Registrar, Delegate to ENYSSSA & Whilst the club was still a member of the Cosmopolitan Soccer League, he held executive positions, which includes: Recording Secretary and Appeals Committee.

From 1992 to present, he is still Registrar for Central Brooklyn Soccer League, and the Caribbean Cup, Inc.
